Cuenca is very famous for its artesanía. Along Gran Colombia and on Benigno Malo street, you can find several craftware shops and souvenirs such as: Carvings, ceramics, basketwork, jewelry, embroidered shirts, onyx, painted wood and woven stuffs. If you are looking for leather, there are several good leather shops off Bolívar between Benigno Malo and Luis Cordero.
