Cojimíes is a small rustic village. The place itself is not recommended for tourism. But if you visit it, here are some alternatives for accommodation as follows:

Mi Descanso.- Cabañas for rent.

Restaurant Flavio Alfaro.- Local food. Located by the beach where boats leave for Muisne.

Around Cojimíes

Mompeche.- A very nice new hostel. Located between Cojimíes and Muisne. You can access this place by canoe from Muisne or walk from Las Manchas.

Cocosolo.- Located 14 kilometers south of Cojimíes on the beach set among palm trees with restaurant, cabins with bath, camping, horses for hire, etc. Reservations can be done through our online Hotel reservation form.

Transport

Bus

To Pedernales, 1 1/2 hours, ticket value around US$2.00, many pickups also drive along the beach at low tide. They leave frequently from the beach where all the boats land.

Boat

2 hours in Canoe that go to Chamanga and Muisne, costs around US$8 per person. This trip is not recommended for those prone to seasickness or not good swimmers. To avoid the boat crossing, the Pedernales-Chamanga-Daule-EI Salto road is available. Though this road does not go through Cojimíes, take a canoe from Cojimíes to Daule.
