| As
a new Ecuadorian NGO, we are willing to provide hearing aids
along with all the audiometric tests, treatments, operations
fitting service and language therapies by visiting Red Cross
type shelters, asylums and special care centers, where the
very poor come to seek food or a bed for the night.
On site tests are then carried out to detect hearing impairment
problems and when such cases arise we'll be there to provide
the professional assistance and help required.
We are seeking a Private Company or Philanthropic
founder to help fund the achievement of the below detailed
objectives and so need to purchase our products, staff and
administration services in order to optimize the economic
resources for the institution and start facilitating in helping
such less fortunate patients as soon as possible.
Our NGO “Ayudame a escuchar” immediate
tasks includes the following programs:
1) Micro – companies
for the impaired of hearing & incapacitated.
This project implements and creates labor for people with
incapacities, especially hearing, with the aim of increasing
their abilities and potential in the work place. Through labor
intensive work such workers generate their own incomes and
also enjoy the socialization process and learn to live again
while also enjoying some forms of independence through increased
levels of responsibility.
2) Adoption of Senior
Citizens
we also consider the importance of putting in contact our
young people with older citizens; abandoned by their relatives.
This plan consists of visiting junior schools' levels and
to promote adoption, by the pupils, of older people in asylums.
We would also propose to those schools that teachers also
take charge of coordinating visits to the asylums whilst also
choosing the most suitable students with high emotional development
who can take advantage of such unique and enriching experiences
for the spirit while also obtaining a mutual enrichment for
them both while enjoying new profound experiences.
3) Self generating funds
/ economies of scale
Through additional funding we aim to lower costs through economies
of scale and better bulk buying within the area of Audiology
allowing us to also self generate more equipment, hearing
aids and services with less outlays and use those savings
in various self generating ways.
Initially we aim to fit up to 100 hearing aids for the impaired
for both children and adults particularly the people whom
suffer different levels of mental comprehension while also
living below the poverty line.
In addition, we can also fit at least 150 hearing aids for
the elderly in asylums and public shelters as well as those
without any family or friends with the idea of giving them
some light and hope in their advancing years.
Moreover we also wish to consider abandoned
children’s needs and are looking forward to provide
a minimum of 50 hearing aids for children, in depressed economic
situations, of all ages, at both the development, learning
and language stage. |
