Nearby, about 2 km north is La Cascada, a nice area for picnics, football, volleyball or swimming. Near Santa Rosa along the road to Sangay National Park there is a very interesting archaeological site with several "Tolas"

 | Jungle Lodges | | | Kapawi Ecological Reserve.- Located in the Achuar territory, this is an upmarket jungle lodge on the Río Pastaza. The lodge has been built under the Achuar architecture and style. The access to this lodge is by aircraft or canoe. The
volcano is best viewed when the weather is clear. Also visit climbing Sangay.
The surrounding areas of the park are great for walking. The entrance fee is about US$ 10.00. The village 9 de Octubre is very close to the park, about an hour walk. Frequent buses to the village are available from Macas.
