Machachi
is a nice small town, well known for its mineral water springs
and swimming pools. There is an annual "rodeo" here
called "El Chagra" which is held in mid July and is
famous also for the "Agua Guitig" (mineral water) production,
Agua Guitig is a fizzy water bottled in Machachi and sold all
over the country. The plant where this water is produced is about
5 km away from town.
