Pedernales
is located some 45 km south from Cojimíes, with 13,000
inhabitants. A market town in the middle of Muisne and Bahía
de Caráquez. It has become lately important for its shrimp
industry and also for the undeveloped beaches towards north of
the village. The ones in town are not recommended for tourists.
It has an attractive church with stained glass inside it.
