North
of Rio Chone and reachable via a small ferry ride from Bahía
de Caráquez is San Vicente, with a nice sandy beach side
and water front and a church (Santa Rosa) with beautifully decorated
murals and stained glass mosaic windows to view, as well as a
few hotels and a small airport. The views from the main hill are
magnificent and peer down onto the nearby Bahía de Caráquez
town. You
can also visit the local daily market in town or further up on
the road to San Isidro. There is also some good restaurants serving
freshly caught fish.

Transport

Boat
There
are frequent "Pangas" crossing to Bahía de Caráquez
(US$0.30, 10 minutes) and a car ferry, which doesn't cost anything
for foot passengers.
Bus
To
Guayaquil, Portoviejo and Manta with Coactur, located by
the panga dock. Also, Reina del Camino has a frequent bus service
to Portoviejo (US$2). To Guayaquil (6 1/2 hours,
US$5). To Chone (50 minutes, US$1.50). To Esmeraldas
(US$6) and Quito (8 hours, US$6.50), amongst other routes.
